As this is my first blog post I will focus on a bit about myself and why I have decided to start this blog.

I am a 22 year old woman who has recently graduated from university and have always struggled with my weight. I reached my heaviest weight at the age of 16 at a hefty 13 stone 7lb, I could no longer look at myself in the mirror and was completely unhappy with myself.

It was time to change, I started walking daily and restricted my diet to consist mainly of fruit, vegetables and lean meat. As time went on I was able to walk further and became more active. I lost a good amount of weight and then i decided to join the gym where I decided to try a few of the different classes. (yoga, insanity, abs blast, meditation, aqua aerobics). I started to keep a food diary and weighed myself weekly.

After a short 3 months I reached my goal weight and was the lightest I have been for years, I lost 3 stone 7lb. I was delighted and amazed with what I had achieved.

Unfortunately I have gained over 2 stone after my weight loss due to moving to university, a nasty separation between my parents, a bad breakup, death of my grandmother, sciatica and carpal tunnel.

As I have now graduated and am living back at home it is to push the reset button on my lifestyle and to reach my weight loss goal once again. I plan on using this blog to keep myself motivated, to stay on track, to inspire and help others with their weight loss journeys.

Since the beginning of my new journey I have lost 9lb within the last month, every day is another step closer to where I want to be.
